Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Happy 2011, everyone! My name is Jackson, and I am sure I was named after Jackson Browne because I personify so many of his songs: I “take it easy,” I know how to “stay,” and I am definitely ready to be “somebody’s baby!” I’m living in a great foster home with a wonderful family, including my foster sisters whom I adore dogs, but I am ready to find my own forever home. My wish list is simple: Please have another dog that I can hang out with! Please love to cuddle and kiss and play! Please love to go on walks! I am house broken and crate trained and I have such good manners. My foster mom says I am a little Prince Charming and everyone loves me and wants to kiss my sweet “smooshy” face. So, come on, future family – I can’t wait to start the best part of my life!
