Lone Star Boxer Rescue is the Houston Chapter of Austin Boxer Rescue, a nonprofit 501(C)(3) organization dedicated to the health and well-being of the boxer breed. LSBR/ABR is run and managed 100% by volunteers since 1999. Our main objective is to rescue, rehabilitate, and re-home boxers that come to us from many sources including local animal shelters, owner surrenders, and strays. Please consider making a tax deductible donation to allow us to save more dogs in need throughout the state of Texas.

Amber
Amber

I thought you might want an update on Amber. She is no longer called Amber, my wife's quirky sense of humor won out and she is now known as Kitty. The girls say it is because she is soft as a kitty cat. Overall she is doing awesome! She has Pirate wrapped around her little paw. They are so funny in the yard doing Boxer burns yipping and hopping all over the place. She has the occasional problem with potty training, I am sure this is exaggerated by the scents left by Harley as she was losing control in her later years. We are working on it and she is doing better all the time. Kitty has a sleeping crate with a big comfy dog bed inside at the foot of our bed. She seems happy with this compromise since we do not allow dogs on the beds but she didn't like sleeping alone. The dogs do have one chair they are allowed on. Thought you might want to see this photo. Thanks for all your efforts in helping bring Kitty into our home, -- The Bancrofts --
